Welcome to my RV-7A homepage. I built this website to show my friends
and family how I am progressing on my
dream project. I have always wanted to build an airplane and have waited a
very long time to be in a position where I have the space, money and time to
build. I will be building the RV-7A in my 2 car garage.
Unfortunately my separate garage idea was vetoed by the zoning laws in my county
so this will have to do. Sorry to my wife for having to start parking her
Expedition outside.
I selected this airplane for several reasons. Val and I plan to use
this vehicle for traveling around the country and for
quick weekend getaways. We wanted a fairly quick plane with enough room
for us and some suitcases. Side by side seating was also essential for
sharing cockpit duties on cross country flights. I also wanted an
established and well designed airplane. Van's RV-7A seemed to be our
answer.
I plan to take my time and build at my pace. Hopefully I will get more efficient as I gain experience.
